A round up of all my current book news!

Happy spring, or happy fall, depending on where you are!

For me it’s spring, especially since Ice Out was declared in New Hampshire yesterday, which means the M/S Mount Washington is clear to travel to all five of her Lake Winnipesaukee ports. Usually this is the time of year I start looking forward to opening camp and getting my RZR ready to hit the ATV trails, but this spring we’re staying home, social distancing, and washing our hands frequently.

On to the latest news!

Here We Go is finally available in a paperback edition from Amazon! I’m going to try to figure out how to make it available elsewhere in the future, but my 2020 writing schedule is hectic until mid-summer (at least) and I wanted to make it available as soon as I could for readers who prefer the print format.

A hockey player climbing back to the top of his game blows up the sport’s hottest rivalry when he unknowingly indulges in a one-night stand with his rival’s sister.

Kristen Burke isn’t a hockey fan. She grew up in the shadow of an older brother destined for the Hockey Hall of Fame and she wants nothing to do with hockey players. She’s focused on her career and nailing the promotion she’s worked hard for. She also likes to have a little fun, but when the hot, bookish guy she brings home for a night turns out to be her brother’s fiercest on-ice rival, all that work might be for nothing.

Will “Cross” Lecroix is stuck in a city that hates him, doing a conditioning stint after an injury incurred during a fight, and a quick fling with a beautiful woman seems harmless enough. Not even twenty-four hours later, he’s in the media spotlight sporting a bruised jaw and being asked if the rumor he spent the night with Erik Burke’s sister is true.

Making a split-second decision meant to save her reputation with her conservative boss, Will announces he and Kristen have been dating. With her promotion potentially at risk, she has no choice but to play along—and the playing part isn’t bad at all. The more time they spend together, the more the line between pretend and real blurs, but Will’s return to his team looms over them. As the clock runs out on their fake romance, they have to decide—is what they have the real thing, and is it worth the price they’ll pay?

Paperback edition includes bonus short story, A SECOND SHOT

Just keep in mind that Amazon is understandably prioritizing the shipping of items people need over items people want, so there will be an extended shipping time. (I haven’t even received my copies yet!) If you haven’t read it and don’t want to wait, don’t forget it’s available for instant gratification in e-book format!

It feels like not so long ago that 3 month old Mini came home with us, but it was actually Memorial Day weekend of 2008.

And today, our pretty pretty princess Minibella is celebrating her 12th birthday! (By celebrating, I mean napping in her chair.)

HERE WE GO, a sexy hockey romance, is available now!

The wait is finally over! I’ve been talking about this story for a long time, and it’s finally out! It’s a fun, steamy story with a heroine who’s a little different than I’ve written before. I absolutely adore her, and I hope you do, too!

A hockey player climbing back to the top of his game blows up the sport’s hottest rivalry when he unknowingly indulges in a one-night stand with his rival’s sister.

My 2019 Favorites!

I keep track of books I read and movies I watch throughout the year in my planner, so I was able to go back through the list (and the ratings I gave them) and pick my favorites.

The cover of Polaris Rising by Jessie Mihalik

I read some great books in 2019, but I think my very favorite was Polaris Rising by Jessie Mihalik. I have the next book in the series, Aurora Blazing, in my Kindle app.

Polaris Rising is space opera at its best, intense and addictive, a story of honor, courage, betrayal, and love. Jessie Mihalik is  an author to watch.”–Ilona Andrews, #1 New York Times bestselling author

My favorite movie?

Movie poster for Snowbound for Christmas

No question, my favorite movie of 2019 was Snowbound for Christmas! But that’s probably cheating a little bit.

When a high-powered CEO gets trapped by a snowstorm with his ultra-efficient executive assistance he can no longer deny he has feelings for her as more than an employee.

So, my favorite movie NOT based on one of my books?

Movie poster for Murder Mystery

I absolutely loved Murder Mystery, which is a Netflix film, and I lost count of how many times I rewatched it. So funny and smart and silly.

A New York cop and his wife go on a European vacation to reinvigorate the spark in their marriage, but end up getting framed and on the run for the death of an elderly billionaire.

And while writing this, I’m watching my first movie of 2020: Mr. Right! I love Anna Kendrick like crazy.
