In need of momentum

I dragged my feet walking to the scale today, imaginary funeral dirge music playing in my head. Honestly, if not for you guys, I would have found an excuse to avoid it. I didn’t have a great week. Excuses, excuses

I’ll just out with it, like ripping off a Bandaid—gained two pounds this week. Not off to a very good start, am I?

Getting back on track (belated Friday check-in)

There seems to be an undeniable correlation between my checking in with you guys on Fridays and my weight loss. The correlation is probably that the more stressed I am, the more apt I am to compensate for insomnia with comfort food and the less time I have to blog (and my blog was throwing errors on the back end I didn’t have time to research and fix). Turning it around

Finally! I lost 1.6 pounds this week. If you follow me on Twitter, you know I had a weird salivary gland flare-up thing and couldn’t put food in my mouth at all for all of Tuesday and into Wednesday, which probably helped, but I made up for it once I could eat again. I need to forget McDonalds exists

A three-hour phone call with my mother has put me so far behind today I’ll never catch up, but I have to stop in on Fridays, so here I am. And I’m 1.8 pounds heavier. *facepalm* I’m not going to tell you how many times I was in the McDonald’s drive-thru this week.But I’m actually approaching going back up into another decade, so I need to stop.
