April, I reject you

It can’t be April already. Not only April, but the fifth! How does this happen?

We started the month with record-breaking high temps for the beginning of April. We had the first family cookout of the year Saturday–16 adults and 17 kids–and I think it hit eighty. Came close on Easter Sunday, which is just bizarre.

Attention Walmart shoppers…run! Or not.

I had to run into Walmart this morning because—just before bedtime, naturally—TK told me his fancy graphing calculator thing needed batteries. And, of course, while we have an overabundance of AA, he needed AAA.

Tuesdays are book buying days

Every Tuesday brings new book releases! I woke up this morning ridiculously excited to get my hands on Instant Temptation by Jill Shalvis, only to be crushed when I realized I’m a week early. To take the edge off my disappointment, I preordered it, which is something I rarely do with digital books.
