Plump, not-so-juicy breasts

The crockpot experimentation continues. I made Angie’s upside-down whole chicken recently and it was good, but we only eat the white meat and throwing away that much chicken was sad. We really only eat boneless, skinless chicken breasts.

Torture by crockpot

How can you tell when Mom can’t cook? I realized yesterday the bulk of our grocery budget is spent on beverages, ice cream, school snacks and paper plates.

Snow day and screwing up recipes

Our first snow day of the winter season today. It’s ten after eight and we’re all still in pajamas, but nobody seems to be in a hurry to get dressed. My husband will have to eventually so he can get the snow out of the driveway and get his brother to a doctor appointment, but the rest of us are in lazy bum mode.
