SK's perching again

The other day, I posted a picture of SK in his favorite reading spot, perched on a dining room chair, which some of you thought looked a little uncomfortable.

Right now, TK’s upstairs, my husband’s at the computer desk and I’m taking up a couple feet of couch. That leaves a nice cushy recliner and several feet of cushier couch (with fleece blanket) available, but where is he? In his favorite reading spot:

Everybody loves a reading spot. TK stretches out on his bed to read. The husband curls up in his recliner. I nest in the corner of the couch with my fleece blanket. SK? He perches on a kitchen chair.

Christmas pictures

We ended up with, I think, fifteen kids who were fourteen and under at the family’s Christmas Eve get-together. I’d show you the chaos that is during present opening time, except five of those are foster children and I’m not comfortable posting their pictures online.

Part 1: Last winter…

We took the boys to Burlington Coat Factory, home of the eleventy-trillion coats, looking for…well, winter coats. The Short Kid’s great. He finds the closest camo pattern, says “This looks like it’ll fit, so let’s go”. The Tall Kid cost us ninety minutes of our lives.
