#listifylife – Words I Always Spell Wrong

List of words I spell wrong, written in text below

SAHNNON – Yes, my name. But only when typing.

RECEIVE – I before E, except after C, and a gazillion other exceptions.

TOUSLED – I spell it touseled, every time.

COLOR, HONOR, etc – Spending my formative spelling years in England gave my words more FLAVOUR.

I spell theatre the correct British way. I don’t really do the “ou” thing (flavour, honour, colour), but I do tend to double my “l” in travelling, cancelled, and the like.

I blame living in England as well (though for me it was 7th to 11th grade)

I also can never spell consciousness correctly without looking it up. And I have to think about dimensional as I always want to put a “t” in it.

I always spell my middle name wrong. Cherly instead of Cheryl. It is more of a keyboard thing tho.

Oh, is the double-L a British thing, too, because I do that!

And transposing letters while typing on a keyboard definitely happens to me more often than straight up misspelling words. (Except when I’m playing London, LOL.)

The only exception I look for in The words with The IE,EI thing is I before E except after C or in words that sound like Weigh or Neigh
RECEIVE – I before E, except after C, and a gazillion other exceptions.
