Today’s release day for Controlled Burn, the second book in my Boston Fire series!
Rick Gullotti lives the good life. He fights fires alongside men he considers brothers and dates beautiful women—though none for very long. And thanks to helping out the elderly couple who own his building, his rent is low. But when his concerns about their health lead to a long-legged southern California girl appearing on his doorstep, life as he knows it starts getting away from him.
Jessica Broussard has no interest in leaving sunny San Diego or her cushy corner office for the rougher side of Boston, but her father dispatches her to deal with the grandparents she’s never met. She’s unprepared for the frigid winter, loving relatives who aren’t the monsters she’s been led to believe, and the scruffy-but-hot, danger junkie firefighter who lives upstairs.
At first, Jessica is determined to get out of Boston Fire country and back to her comfortable life as quickly as possible. All she has to do is talk her grandparents into selling their monstrosity of a house. But she underestimates Rick’s dedication—and his considerable charm. Nobody’s taking advantage of his friends on his watch, even if that makes the very tempting Jessica his adversary. Unfortunately for them both, the only thing more urgent than the matter at hand—and more powerful than their differences—is their sizzling chemistry, and it’s quickly becoming too strong to resist.

Can’t wait to read this! On this right side of this page you have Fighting Chance shown as available May 26, 2015 – should that be 2016?
Love your books!

Oops. I’ll have to get that fixed because it’s actually Feb 1st, 2016. I’m not sure where that date came from. Thanks!

Loved it!
Downloaded it at midnight then was going to just read a chapter or two, but stayed up way too late (early?) reading. After a quick “nap” I had to do adulting (silly real life getting in my way). But finished it while cooking dinner.
From the blurb for book 3, I knew a certain event was going to happen. I hope that we get to see more of that certain character in book 3. (Avoiding spoilers for those who like not to know things).
Rick & Jessica along with Danny & Ashley are my favorites.
Thanks so much for bringing to life another great group of characters!
Now the wait for book 3 begins…
