Begging a favor if you love music and who doesn’t?

I don’t usually do this, but it means a lot to my son. (You know, that really cute kid y’all have watched grow up. Some of you have known him since he was only three or four!)

WZID is holding a contest and one New Hampshire music teacher will win the opportunity to conduct the Boston Pops. THE BOSTON POPS! The voting between our teacher (KIRK YOUNG!) and another teacher has been very close. I’m sure the other teacher is great as his community obviously supports him, but our teacher is AMAZEBALLS!

How amazeballs is KIRK YOUNG? We don’t dread music nights at our school. We don’t pack quiet secret things to do after the lights are turned down. We look forward to concerts. We mute our cell phones without being asked to!  We don’t even check Facebook during songs! Yes. Really.

His passion for music and his enthusiasm for teaching comes out with so much energy it’s infectious. He’s very funny and the kids adore him. He works incredibly hard and this is such an amazing opportunity for him.

He needs votes, though. And here’s the rough part: It’s not a click the bubble and run contest. (It’s a little confusing, tbh.) You have to register on the CONTEST PAGE or log in with FB (I think that’s what I did.) Then click on vote, then click on KIRK YOUNG (he’s in the first row) and then scroll back up a bit to “save vote”. Then, under his name it should say “your vote has been saved”. You can vote once per day, so one could probably be snuck in tonight and another tomorrow. It ends at 11:59 pm tomorrow (11/19) night, I believe.

So if you have a few minutes and don’t mind, my son and his amazeballs music teacher and my entire community would appreciate your vote. He’s that teacher that touches his students’ lives and enriches them more than words can say.

Chorus

Voted yesterday and today. What an unfriendly-to-user site.

Good luck to formerly known as SK’s teacher.

Yes, that was the worst site EVER, so I extra appreciate everybody’s votes.

AND HE WON!!!! We’re so unbelievably happy right now!
