Hitting the decade mark

If we’ve all flipped to a new calendar year, it must be my blog’s birthday! And I started on January 1st, 2005, so it must be ten. Which means I’m coming up on the tenth anniversary of my first publishing contract.

I don’t have time to get sucked into my blog archives right now, so I can’t do a top ten list of favorite blog posts. But thanks to occasional reruns, I can grab a few.

Endearing traits from 2007 (I love this one)

Gear shifting and doom from 2007

Truck Ice Capades from 2010

An all-time favorite from 2009: Inside the Slightly Whacked Mind of a Writer

A funny one from 2014: Peeing in the woods…or not

And my favorite blog post of 2014: Adventures in a casino

That’s it. It’s too easy, when you realize there’s ten years of your family’s history in stories and photos, to lose hours going through old posts. But just doing a few reminds me of how much I love this blog (because it’s uniquely mine, not run by other people), and I’m going to do better at not neglecting it in 2015.

“Heart of the Storm” has actually been available in paperback for a year. It was in the SNOW DAY anthology, which released from Harlequin in December of 2013. Now they’re releasing my novella individually in digital on its own. So if you read the Snow Day anthology (with the little cabin in the snow on the cover), you’ve read Heart of the Storm. :)

    Paperback edition on Amazon
