Impromptu Minion Wars

Working on the current manuscripts while gearing up for book releases can be a juggling act, and Jaci Burton and I were both there very recently. I mentioned struggling to write a blog post for Snowbound With The CEO, she asked me to write hers for Holiday Games, and then this happened…

Dear Ms. Burton: Ms. Stacey says WRITE YOUR OWN! Respectfully yours, Shannon’s Minion

Dear Ms. Stacey: THIS MEANS WAR!!! Fondly… Jaci’s Minion

Dear Ms. Burton—War? Really? Do you SEE my armor? Hugs + kittens, Shan’s Minion

Scared minion with sticky note

We laugh at your armor. We have cookies over here! Love + crumbs… Jaci’s Minion

Cookies? Please. I will build an M&M trebuchet and leave you nothing but crumbs. Shan’s Minion

You aren’t the only one who can bring the candy, Shannon. …Prepared with chocolate kisses… Jaci’s Minion

Ms. Burton—Mr. Stacey’s arrival is imminent, so we reluctantly cede the field. Until we meet again, Shan’s Minion

Now I am waiting for the College Kid to come home for Winter Break with all of his fancy new engineering knowledge because a candy trebuchet must happen. Hershey Kisses will do more damage than M&Ms, but will they fly true? Candy must be flung.

I demand candy-flinging satisfaction!

I definitely want to see a candy-flinging trebuchet. The minion wars must continue!

I heard the minions won because they ate all the candy when y’all weren’t looking.

Love the minions . Last summer I bought many boxes of cereal trying to get the fireman minion, with no luck. We won’t run out of cereal for a long time though .

We didn’t have the cereal with the minions, so Jaci sent me one.

She had no idea, of course, that he would turn on her. :)

Minion Wars with candy sounds fun. Would the kisses be more aerodynamic if they were unwrapped like the m&ms?

I’ll have to have Engineering Kid add that to the testing process.

Since I would love to see this, and to assist TK in case he’s too exhausted from school to do this, I give you:

    Don’t thank me, really.
