Contest: Enter to win Boomerang Bride and Planning for Love

I popped into the bookstore recently and was thrilled to find two Carina Press paperbacks on the New Romance shelf. I read them both in digital, but I bought a copy of each of these fun contemporary romances to give away!

Paperback copies of Boomerang Bride and Planning for Love

BOOMERANG BRIDE by Fiona Lowe (2012 RITA Award winner!)

Matilda Geoffrey had risked it all for love.

She’d left Australia to be with Barry–the man who had swept her off her virtual feet. Now, wearing a wedding dress, she’s alone on Main Street in small-town Wisconsin, and things aren’t working out exactly as planned….

In town for his annual family visit, Marc Olsen had never seen a bride quite like Matilda–staring into a storefront window, holding a tottering wedding cake and looking desperately in need of a groom. He doesn’t have many warm feelings for his hometown, but meeting Matilda just as she discovers she’s been scammed by her online “fiancé” stirs something in him.

Matilda is not the kind of woman Marc imagined himself with, and Marc is anything but the romantic hero that Matilda has always dreamed of. But as unlikely circumstances throw them together, can they let go of their misconceptions and risk their hearts for love?

PLANNING FOR LOVE by Christi Barth

Hopeless romantic Ivy Rhodes
and
anti-Cupid
Bennett Westcott
request the pleasure of your company for
their disaster of a courtship

Wedding planner Ivy Rhodes is the best in the business, and she’s not about to let a personal problem stop her from getting ahead. So when she’s asked to star in the reality TV show Planning for Love, it doesn’t matter that the show’s videographer happens to be a recent–and heartbreaking–one-night stand.

Bennett Westcott admits he didn’t handle his encounter with Ivy very well. But looking at her beautiful smile–and great body–through a camera lens every day? He can’t be faulted for suggesting they have some no-strings fun.

The more time they spend together, the more Ben realizes Ivy isn’t the wedding-crazed bridezilla he’d imagined. But if he doesn’t trust himself to make a relationship last, how can he convince Ivy to give him another chance?

Christi’s website

How do you enter? Well, both books have a wedding theme, so what’s your favorite part of attending a wedding? The romantic atmosphere? The cake? Watching groomsmen hit on bridesmaids? For me, it’s the joy of seeing family members partying. I got to see my aunt dance on a bar to the Hawaii 5-0 theme song and, trust me, that’s an awesome memory to have.

The winner will be randomly drawn on Monday, October 28th at 10am eastern. International entries are allowed, I’ll be checking for comments erroneously marked as spam, your information is not saved for purposes nefarious or otherwise, and you’re not subscribed to anything. Just for fun.

My favorite part of weddings is the open bar and cake! lol. i just recently went to a wedding and sat at the weird sense of humor table. the bride and groom had the m&m’s with their faces on them so there ended up being discussions on what the bride and groom tasted like…..lol.

I am from Europe and here weddings are so much different. That’s why I love to read wedding books because it gives me in insight of how the weedings in US are. But in my country, the most touching moment is when the parents are giving the bride to the groom and we have a special song for that moment.

The best part of the wedding is the white wedding cake. Now my daughter tells meshe wants a cheesecake bar at her wedding. Hmm…. Maybe a mother of the bride cake.

The look on the bride and grooms face as they turn around after being pronounced man and wife…the tension of the ceremony over and the look of bliss of just being married is spectacular.

I love the look on the grooms face when his bride starts to walk down the aisle. In turn the look on the fathers face as he walks his baby girl down the aisle. I will never forgot either from my own wedding.

I LOVE seeing the bride walk down the aisle, with her preferred bridal song march. I don’t know why I’m affected, but I ALMOST ALWAYS get teary-eyed EVERY TIME I watch the bride “walk the plank”. :p And another thing that I love about weddings are the bride & the father of the bride dance! :’) not too forget the newlyweds’ messages to their parents, and the parents to them. It always hit the mark <3

And oh, last one. The "bathroom" break of most of the single guys & ladies during the garter/bouquet toss or game. Hahaha! I guess it's not anymore that you'll be the next to get married, but more on that you don't want to be the object of your friends' amusement during the whole reception. Hahaha!

I think my favorite part of a wedding, is the bridal party getting ready… Putting on makeup, laughing, joking, eating. I’ve been apart of that experience just a few times and that’s the part I look back on with the fondest of memories!

My favorite part of the wedding is everyone dancing and having fun. My aunt sang an Irish song at my wedding and the band sang a song that my husband’s father wrote for the singer, Vic Damone. Those personal touches made it really special.
