Photos from a fun weekend

The Stacey family got a little dirty recently, but the fun was totally worth the mess. Especially since my husband washed all three machines. (I did, however, have to do the laundry.)

Here’s my husband, not keeping the nose of his Outlander 1000 down during a drag race:

Doing a wheelie on his ATV

Here’s me (on the left, in the purple shirt), splashing into the mud pit:

Into the mud pit with a big splash

The funny thing is that I’m on my husband’s machine and the yellow one in the far lane, being ridden by a friend of ours, is mine. I beat her this time, then she beat me the next. In the tie-breaking match, she won the coin toss and gave me the bad lane, so she beat me. So I lost, but my ATV beat my husband’s in the mud (after I lost to him in a race) so it was all good.

Churning through the mud pit

The Short Kid came out of the pit on the hook, but in his defense, that’s a two-wheel-drive machine. We know he wouldn’t get through it, but the fun’s in the trying:

And in case you think my husband got the short end of the stick, having to wash the three ATVs, here’s a very small sample of what the laundry looked like:

One slightly dirty sock and one almost black sock

Next year I need to wear taller boots.

Looks like a lot of fun. I so wish I could take my daughter out sometime. My son doesn’t have much interest but every year for her birthday and Christmas, my daughter asks for an ATV. My brother has a couple and I need to get her up to his place so he can take her out. I agree that you got the short end of the stick with the laundry. :)

I have never driven an ATV before, but always thought it looked like a lot of FUN!

I just finished re-reading all the Kowalski books this morning. Those books sure make me wish that I had grown up with those traditions. I can’t hardly wait for the next book!

So fun, Shannon. I still need to get you to WV :) Hubby and I went on a trip a couple weekends ago with some friends. We rode over 100 miles that day but luckily we have a UTV instead of ATV haha Had a lot of fun!

Happy Birthday! Hope you are having some fun.
