Rebooting, overall

Taz sleeping on the couch At this rate I’m going to have to change the category for these posts from “Weight Loss” to “Weight Gain”. I’m not sure how I managed it, but WW said March 15th was the last time I tracked my weight, which means I gained 2.2 pounds over the month. Maybe due to my activity level, which is represented by Taz over there in the photo.

Spring’s here, though, and it’s time to get moving. We’re having a dumpster delivered Monday and we’re doing a top-to-bottom mucking out of our house. It’s been a long time since we’ve done it (maybe even a decade), so I’ll be working my butt off. My kids are calling it a “rebooting”, which is a good word for it. I need to reboot my weight loss, too, and get back on track.

How are you guys doing? Good news?

Mine doesn’t really count because I consider it cheating. I had the gastric sleeve surgery in December. So far I’ve lost 49 pounds. I did the surgery because I’ve been a Type 1 diabetic since I was seven and I couldn’t lose weight. It is not easy even with the surgery. I have to exercise everyday. If I don’t then I don’t feel good. I’m just glad that I can eat normal food again even if I can only eat 3 oz. at a time.

Rebooting sounds like a good thing. I need to do that. And the whole clean out the house thing? We are doing that because our basement flooded. Luckily it is not finished and most of the stuff that is damaged is stuff we should have pitched before (all the valuables are up on shelves). Good luck with your house and weight loss reboot!

Yeah, I am in the same boat. I’ve gained 4 lbs since Christmas. I managed to not gain any weight during the holiday season, but AFTER. Who does that?! ;)

If it would ever warm up here that would help. I am getting sick of the gym and my workouts there are not inspired. I do much better when I can just walk/run outside. This week it’s been in the 30’s and raining everyday (is it April or Nov?) so back to the gym. ugh.

Congrats Kelli! Good for you. I was at my lowest weight in Feb but I’ve gone backwards and gained back 8 pounds. Instead of breaking into a new decade, I’ve gone UP. Agh. Even though its Friday I’m going to try and be good this weekend and get myself back on track!

It’s been a weird couple of weeks–I’ve been going up and down up to 4 pounds every other day. Really weird, and discouraging.

The plan is to drink more water, and pay more attention to what I eat each day, try to keep a diary.

Well, at today’s weigh in, I gained back almost everything I lost in the last month. At least it was only 2 pounds, and considering I ate out almost every day last week at least once or had leftovers from eating out… However! I am now wearing size 20 jeans! I haven’t worn this size since college. Kickball also started back up again, so I’ll at least have that exercise.
