Heading to the RT Convention

At this time tomorrow, I’ll be heading into Boston to catch a flight to Kansas City. Barring misfortune, I’ll be in the following places:

Wednesday at 2:30, I’ll be on a panel called Reinventing the Modern-Day Romeo.

How can a contemporary romance hero compete with all those vampires, shifters, dukes and princes? By being a real, authentic, believable hero who readers can truly fall in love with, of course! Authors share their tips and tricks for turning an ordinary guy into a living, breathing, unforgettable hero.

Date: Wednesday, May 1, 2013 – 2:30pm – 3:30pm
Captain: Louisa Edwards
Panelist(s): Beth Ciotta, Victoria Dahl, Sarah Frantz, Erin McCarthy, Shannon Stacey
Location: Mezzanine Level
Room: Empire A

On Saturday, I’ll be signing All He Ever Desired at the Giant Book Fair. And Saturday evening, I’ll be at the Carina Press cocktail party. (I’ll be other places too, but those are written in stone.) I hope to see some of you there!

I’ll probably be sending photos the entire week through my Instagram account. From there, Instagram sends the photos to my Tumblr account, which in turns sends it to Twitter. (You’ve probably already figured it out if you follow me on Tumblr and on Twitter, that the links will be duplicates.) I’ll send especially fun or good ones to my Facebook Page and, once I’m home, I’ll do a recap of my favorites here on the blog.

Whew. I need to shop and pack today, and then tomorrow…traveling! Alone! Sober! I’ll see next week if I don’t see you in Kansas City!

I know the full registration is sold out, but there are day passes. I don’t know a lot about them, though. And the Giant Book Fair on Saturday is open to non-attendees for a $5 entrance fee.

Every year I flip a coin, do I go to the Malice Domestic conference for the mysteries I devour or do I go to the RT convention for the Romance novels I love. I’m getting on a plane Thursday for Malice and now I am regretting not going to RT. Why oh why must they be on the same weekend? I love both flavors of books. SIgh . . .next year, I will go to RT next year.

Congrats on the books. Wish I could make it to KC to see a cousin whom I haven’t seen in years. Safe travels.

Reinventing the Modern-Day Romeo. – that’s the kind of panel I’d love to attend! Let’s hope that modern day Romeo will really be invented in today’s world! Support!
