Belated Friday non-check-in

I totally spaced weighing in today. I was in the middle of something when my “get on the scale, dumbass” alarm went off and then I never thought of it again until I’d spent the majority of the day pounding iced coffees and M&Ms. But I can tell from the fact I put on a sweatshirt this morning, then took it off and put on another that it wouldn’t have been good news.

How are you all doing? Anybody recently discover some yummy, low-cal snack options? I have some mixed berries in the freezer I keep meaning to mix with a Slim-Fast shake for breakfast, but I haven’t yet. And I’m told some Nutella spread on apple slices makes for a nice lunch.

Also, it’s spring! Time to get up and move around!

I’ve avoided the scale myself this week, but getting back on track, I hope. Here’s to spring.

I think it’s been a couple of weeks since I last checked in, and right after I broke the 10% lost barrier, I gained a few pounds back. I’ve stayed fairly steady at that weight, so I feel like I can’t complain too much. I’ve been keeping up with my walking, which is something. I did notice this week I was edging back down to close to that 10% lost line, so we’ll see how weigh in on Sunday goes. I lightly snacked through lunch today (4 applesauce cups, two bags of Panera potato chips and an 8 oz. can of Coke) which was good as I met up with friends in town for the PCA-ACA conference for dinner and stuffed myself with fresh off the grill pita bread and hummus followed up by an Oreo McFlurry :D I’ve got a couple of errands to run downtown tomorrow morning, so I’ll get myself down there early and have breakfast at Panera, get my new sunglasses, and then walk the 2.5 miles to Union Station to get train tickets for my Jeopardy! audition in NYC. Between that and running other errands later in the day, hopefully I’ll walk off tonight’s dinner and tomorrow’s breakfast :D

I’ve been doing the WW shake with frozen berries.

I have one of those stick blenders, so I throw 1 cup of frozen berries, 1 cup of milk, and 1 package of WW Vanilla shake mix in a large plastic cup (the Solo type), and then blend with the stick blender right in the cup. It comes out SUPER thick, and really filling and tasty. My biggest problem is I don’t eat all day. That’s the worst for your metabolism.

I went back to WW on Monday. I haven’t been in a couple of months and I was SURE I had gained 10+ pounds. I just knew it. I knew what I had been eating and how my clothes fit and how I was feeling. Yeah. Last time I judge THAT again. Apparently I DROPPED 0.6 since last time.

Still…I hate the way I feel and look, so I’m back keeping track and committed to losing again.

When I am home, I am pretty good about keeping away from the candy, primarily since I don’t keep any at home. But at my mum’s, not so much.

That said, have you checked out Skinnytaste.com? I love her recipes. Healthy, and uses ingredients that I have home in 9 cases of 10 :).

I love blueberries so I buy the frozen ones in the Winter and mix them with a little low Cal whipped cream. Not sure how healthy it is but I like it and it’s sweet enough to satisfy my sweet tooth.
I like Nutella on toast or with mini breadsticks but never tried it with apples, will have to give that a try.

I hope Spring arrives soon. It’s 35 degrees here and raining and they’re giving snow for tonight :(
