I very rarely go see a movie in the theater, though there are exceptions for movies the entire family wants to see, like the Harry Potter movies and The Avengers. Lately, however, it seems like I want to see everything at the theater. I don’t know if everything looks exceptionally good to me or if I just want to get out of the house.
Movies I wanted to see in the theater, but missed:
Lincoln
Silver Linings Playbook
Movies playing I want to see right now:
Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters (Renner!)
Identity Thief (Releases next week, I guess, but it looks hilarious!)
Zero Dark Thirty
Movies coming out on Valentine’s Day and I wonder if the middle and high schools would extend their school hours so I can see all three in a row (alone):
A Good Day to Die Hard (Die Hard! Enough said.)
Beautiful Creatures (Not my usual cup of tea, but the trailer looks amazing.)
Safe Haven (Definitely not my usual cup of tea, but it looks good, I’ve been a fan of Josh Duhamel since Transformers, and my cousin was an extra—one of the Boston cops.)
Have you seen anything awesome lately? Got a movie you’re looking forward to seeing?

I still want to see Les Misérables. The last movie I saw in the theatre was Argo (which I really enjoyed).
Gangster Squad looks to have a good cast (Emma Stone, Ryan Gossling, Robert Patrick). And Quartet has Maggie Smith.
Die Hard is the one I’m most looking forward to even though I felt 4 was a bit OTT.

I want to see Hansel and Gretel for the same reason. Not sure I can convince my husband, so may need to go on my own.

I have a horrible movie addiction (probably equal to my book addiction…which is saying something) and we see lots of movies. I really do need to cut down because I have to admit that it is pretty darn costly.
I really want to see all the movies you have listed. We saw Parker this weekend (I love Jason Statham) and I loved it. Zero Dark Thirty was really good too. My son had to see that one and I went along with.

I didn’t care for Die Hard 4 as much, either. I thought it broke the mold, which is John McClane against the world. There were too many people with him and too many locations. The fifth one looks awesome, though. And he’s definitely a man who’s doing nothing but improving with age.
I need to look up Gangster Squad. I’ve heard of it, but don’t know anything about it.
We watched Lawless on Blu-ray this past weekend. That was a good movie.
