Turning it around

Finally! I lost 1.6 pounds this week. If you follow me on Twitter, you know I had a weird salivary gland flare-up thing and couldn’t put food in my mouth at all for all of Tuesday and into Wednesday, which probably helped, but I made up for it once I could eat again. I’ve still got a ways to go before I’m back to where I left off at my lowest weight, but at least it’s incentive to keep going in the right direction.

How are you guys doing?

I didn’t weigh myself again this past Sunday. However, I got stomach flu from the visit home, and when that cleared up, I weighed myself. I’d lost about 9 pounds since the last weigh in. I don’t recommend getting sick as a weight loss tactic. Partially because I weighed myself again this morning and gained half of it back. But! Only half! I’m using this as the impetus to pay close attention to my eating and exercise choices and make better ones. I’ll hopefully break through the 5 pound range plateau I’ve been on for the last three or so months.

Good for you guys! I’m with you Katie seem to be in the same five pound zone. I got to my lowest weight in a long time and then I wreck it with my eating on the weekends. Need to refocus again and staying in my new decade.

Sorry to be off topic! Shannon I saw the new cover on Amazon.com for Josh’s book. Great cover.

I hope you’re feeling better, Katie! Gaining only half back is good and can be a good boost to get you through the plateau!

Weekends are my worst, Carol. We eat out on the weekends and it’s so hard to make good choices.

And Josh’s cover is up? WHEEEEE! It’s my favorite cover yet, and it being a secret was killing me!

    Yay!!!!

I stayed EXACTLY the same (down to the .4!) Better than gaining I say.

I think I’ve reached a weight where it is coming off more slowly. I tend to stay the same for a bunch of weeks, then drop one lb.

I’m feeling *much* better! Today’s my official weigh in day, and surprise, surprise, I clocked in at around what I weighed after I was sick which means I bypassed my goal weight and then some for this go around! Whooo!

    Yay, Katie! That’s awesome!

And I think I’m there, too, Tracy. I had enough excess in the beginning it came off in easy chunks, but now I’m having to fight for each pound.

I’m taking Thanksgiving day off, though. Not worrying about the calories At. All.
