When I pulled up the WW site to check in, it told me I haven’t logged my weight since 8/24 and, when I checked, I saw that was the last time I checked in here, too. And…I’ve gained three pounds since then. Imagine my big sigh.
1) Obviously checking in every Friday is very important to my progress.
2) I have to quit with the iced coffees. I’m back up to 3 and sometimes even 4 per day.
3) I’ve fallen back into the habit of not eating in the morning or at noon and, come 3:00, eating everything in sight.
4) And, to be honest, I’ve gotten comfy with this weight. I can buy X-Large, even at stores that don’t carry plus-sizes and I feel okay. (Except for serious daily overdoing of caffeine and nicotine, which lost the blood pressure gains the weight loss had made.) But, when I see pictures, I realize I still want that 10 more pounds (or 12 now) to reach my goal, at least.
Here’s one from Labor Day weekend:
(I would like to point out my riding jersey is long and I had it yanked up so it wasn’t under my butt, which makes the collar pull at my neck, and that makes me look lumpier around the middle than I really am. Not that I’m not lumpy. But not quite that lumpy.)
So, for me, it’s back to breakfast, healthy snacking and tracking. Tracking tracking tracking. How are you guys doing?

Sometimes we just need that kick in the pants
I’m doing good but I’m on a no wheat, no sugar diet for my auto-immune disease. Lost 9 pounds in the last 3 weeks. I stalled a bit because I found cashews and gosh darn, if I don’t adore cashews! But I’m trying to be a little better. I’m still 20lbs overweight and I really need 2.5lbs to go to the next level so I’m going to try to hit that in the next week or two.
I feel crappy so I can’t exercise but it’s all a process!
And YES, kick those iced coffees. Make it a game with your water. Get one of those 22oz or 33oz tumblers, fill it up with water and tell yourself you can NOT drink ANOTHER iced coffee UNTIL you down all your water. It helps, believe me!

That stinks, Shannon, but you can lose those pounds again. You have figured out what you need to do at least! My husband recently sent me a video about “How Bad Do You Want It?” relating to sports (he coaches our son’s baseball team) and after watching it I was reminded that if I want to be successful in anything I need to want it bad enough. One thing they said in the video was “You have to want it bad enough to give up some sleep.” Well, that is so true for me. I have to want to get in shape bad enough that I need to get up an extra half hour early to walk (I work outside the home and my evenings are filled up with dinner, homework, and sports). It also said “You have to want it bad enough to forget to eat.” Well, if I could do that I wouldn’t have a weight problem! I guess I need to figure out how badly I want to lose weight and be healthy. You are motivating in that you share so much on your blog – thanks for that! Keep up the work!

It’s easy to slip back into old habits!! I’ve been doing good. Since we last checked in I’ve lost 1 lb. boo! However, my period started today and when I weighted in there was no change from last week. Usually, I put on 2 lbs at this time of the month, so I’m hoping that means I actually had a loss this week! We’ll find out next Friday I guess.
“Just keep swimming, just keep swimming….”
(that’s my motto for weight loss! LOL)
