Lost one pound this week. One. Single. Pound. That puts me down 28.2 pounds since the beginning of January and I’m ready to get over that hump where I can say “lost thirty pounds” rather than “almost thirty pounds”.
For those of us in the States, this will be the first challenging weekend of the summer: three days of barbecue fun! Cheeseburgers. Coleslaw. That funky salad with the Jello and the fruit and the yummy, yummy whipped cream.
How are you all doing? Anybody coming up with a plan for summer vacation eating, whether to deal with the kids being home or all those barbecues?
(Just a note that I’ll be taking the long weekend off from the internet. A three-day web cleanse, so to speak. But Monday I’ll let you know how many helpings of the Jello/fruit/yummy whipped cream salad I had, LOL.)

Congrats on the one pound loss, Shannon. I’m trying to lose weight myself and it’s a battle. Family get togethers are difficult, but what works for me is to keep the portions small and make sure I include some exercise during the day.
Enjoy the holiday weekend!

Yay!! One pound is great!
I’m down 1.8 this week (seriously, I couldn’t have shown that extra .2 so I could say 2 lbs?! LOL).
The best part of the 1.8 this week was a cracked into the 170’s! whooo! I love it when I hit another “decade” as I call it. There is something so encouraging about seeing the tens number change to a smaller number!
That’s a total of 11.5 lbs since starting!

Oh, this weekend. Today is my son’s 10 birthday party sleepover. Lots of bad snacks will abound, so I will just have to put what I am saying I can eat on my plate and NOT go back for more.
The family BBQ will not be too bad as my sister has lost a lot of weight over the years and eats very healthy, so there are always healthy choices with the bad.
I still eat the bad (so does she!) but she helps me keep it reasonable.

Tracy, a new decade!! WOOOHOOOO!
Oh, and I meant to tell you guys I found a new NOM NOM NOM snack. Special K “cracker chips”. At my store they were next to the Pringles, which is how I found them. I’ve had the sour cream & onion and the cheddar. Despite my cheese-love, the sour cream were slightly tangier and fulfilled the salty/crunchy need better.
Get this… There are 3 WW points in a serving and a serving is TWENTY-SEVEN of them! I find them so satisfying that I haven’t actually eaten 27 in a sitting, so I’ll probably bag them into 1/2 servings.
Texture wise, they’re a bit like a Pringle and a chip had a baby. So good. I’m a salty/crunchy person and these did it for me. My boys sat and ate my favorite Pringles and I ate these without feeling AT ALL deprived.
Perfect snack to have around!
