I’ve been slacking a bit on the tracking of points, which is kind of the core of WW. I’m good during the day, but dinner…it can be hard to figure out those points and I’m tired and I don’t wanna. Of course, the downside is that I stepped on the scale this morning and there was no change. I’ll try to be happy I didn’t gain any and be more diligent in my tracking.
I did do measurements this morning. It’s not something I’ll do a lot because I find it awkward. And, unless somebody tattoos guidelines on your skin, what are the chances of measuring the exact same spot? Plus the way you hold the tape and the tension you put on it cause huge variations in the measurement. I’m a control freak and it’s just not exact enough for me.
But after the photos from last Friday and the lack of scale movement this morning, I needed a little reassurance things have changed from the shoulders down. So, unscientifically, since Jan 20 (when I last did this), the results are…
Bust: loss of 2 inches (this thrills me because I’m a bit broad across the back)
Waist: loss of 3.5 inches
Hips: loss of 1 inch
Thigh: loss of 1.5 inches
It’s too bad I didn’t take measurements for my cheeks and neck.
How’s everybody else doing? Anybody have good news to share or need a pep talk?

I probably should have my mom take my measurements when I see her next week. I’ve been on WW for one week now, and I’m, so far, liking the “game” of watching my points. However, I have also not been putting everything in. This is partly because I’m giving myself a grace period of getting used to the program. The other is that I’m allowing myself to get rid of all the not-so-great snacky food around me. Namely: chocolate covered pretzels, and cookies. I refuse to beat myself up over them. A big part of why I want to do this is to get myself more into the habit of making the better nutritional choices I know I can make. With that being said, I plan on a big old Red Robin Bacon Cheeseburger for dinner tonight.

Weight loss is a marathon not a sprint. I have to keep reminding myself that every single day. Great job keeping at it! I’m doing Nutrisystem now and have lost 7 pounds ins 3 weeks.

I don’t put everything in, either, though I try. One thing I don’t put it is coffee. If I have a DD iced coffee, I’ll put that in, but the coffees I made at home, I don’t. I’d go nuts.
And that’s great, Liza! In a way that seems appealing to me (the system), but I’m so finicky I think I’d have trouble finding food. For instance, if I look at the frozen diet meals at the store, I’ll actually eat maybe 3 or 4 out of the 30 or 40 they have. I’d get tired of the same foods over and over. But if I wasn’t so damn finicky, I think it would be awesome.
And woohoo on losing!
