An update and run

Things are hectic this morning, but I jumped on the scale and saw 201. That’s two pounds this week and I absolutely believe I’ll see 199 next Friday. I’ll try to take a picture of the milestone (for me) number, unless it’s so close holding my phone tips me back up. Then I won’t.

My total to-lose goal (for now) is 55 pounds and I’ve lost 24, so my jars look like this:

How did you all do this week?

I’ll check back in if I can, but we’ll be gone all day because the Short Kid’s competing in the state geography bee today! Yay!

Go you! You’re almost halfway there! And your jars look so pretty. :)

I really recommitted this past week. Lost 3.4. Gotta love that first-week purge.

Great job, Shannon! Slow and steady wins the race! The people that I seem to know that lose weight slow and steady seem to be able to keep it off longer than those that go no crash diets and such. Keep it up!

Congratulations to you and to the Short Kid! My Boy, now a college freshman (!), participated in our state’s Geography Bee when he was a seventh grader :)

AWESOME! I’m trying to lose 25 myself, just lost 4 in the last 3-4 weeks. But going to ZUMBA sure helps! I look like a fool but have so much fun! Come down to Concord and join me! :)

Go you! My goal’s also 55 (for this year), and I’ve lost 10 in the last 3 weeks. That’s a little fast for me, but I know it’s really the increase in exercise that I’ve been doing. I’m expecting to plateau in the next couple of weeks, and at that point, I’ll “crack down” on myself and really make an effort to strip out the so-not-healthy snacky foods I’ve been indulging in. Also, Easter will be over and I will no longer be tempted with Cadbury Mini-Eggs…until next year.

I think I have decided to make two little bowls like this. The idea of having to take one out of the “pounds lost” jar and put it back in the “pounds to lose” jar might just motivate me enough to stay on track…we will see! Keep it up, Shannon!
