This question brought to you by summer

Why is it that in romance novels, the wisps of hair escaping the heroine’s ponytail are cute and sexy and make the hero want to reach out and tuck them behind her ear, but the wisps of hair escaping from my ponytail make me look like a half-drowned, wind-blown witch whose hairbrush fell off the back of the broom in her last move?

I have no idea, but if you ever find the answer, please share. I also hate the women in TV shows who never EVER have those wisps of hair. Yes, I know that their hairdressers are standing 5 feet away just out of camera range, but it’s still annoying.

How about when you look in the mirror and you have “Bed Head” and you’ve been out of bed for at least 8 hours?
