Things are going downhill pretty quickly here at Casa Stacey. If you follow me on Twitter, you might have seen me say:
Sweats. Tank top. Medusa hair pinned on top of my head. Totally rocking the romance author glamor today!
First, let me say that I do, in fact, know how to spell glamour. Just apparently not in a consistent manner. In my defense, my formative spelling years were spent in England where we, for a time, lived off-base and I attended a local elementary school. If I’m tired or typing fast, you might catch me writing grey or colour. So, sometimes when I look at a word with an “ou” combo, I’ll take the “u” out just because I think I might have snuck an English “u” in there. Yes, I’m thirty-eight now and have been living back in America for twenty-nine years, but you’d be surprised how the lessons learned in those early grades stick in your head.
Anyway…with a book release Monday and a deadline in thirteen days, I don’t see the situation improving any. There’s a good chance I’m going to look this next week, only my shirt will be inside-out, I’ll be missing a shoe and I’ll be having conversations with the dustbunnies, thinking they’re my cats.
Comment
You’ll just need to make sure that the dustbunnies /are/ the size of cats, and walk around without your glasses.

If the dustbunnies get any bigger and I don’t have my glasses on, I might ask them how their day was and make them supper and yell at them to stop leaving their dirty socks on the floor!

I read so many HQ’s as a pre-teen that I spell gray as grey.

Corrupted by romance! LOL!
