The snow’s gone. The sun’s warm (more or less). My irises, hostas and the peony are starting to nudge their way out of the ground. Spring has most definitely sprung, so what am I doing?
Working on a Christmas novella.
So while everybody around me is stripping off outer layers and turning their faces up to the sun, I’m singing “Let it Snow” and trying to conjure up frosty images of blizzards and icicles and the holiday season. Maybe, since it stayed up until the middle of February as it was, I shouldn’t have put my Christmas tree away.
Also, decades worth of romance authors have hogged all the good Christmas romance titles. Just sayin’.
So there will be more details forthcoming, like the title since I don’t think A Little Bit Drunk is going to fly. And Jaci will also be doing another Christmas novella—a follow-up to her fabulous All She Wants for Christmas. I’m trying not to be jealous about the fact hers has a title.
So, ho ho ho! Merry…Thursday in April. (Just doesn’t sound the same, does it?)

Wheee! It’s Christmas in April!
And I like that title, along with Tie One On.

My family celebrates Christmas in July, so why not April?
Is your novella a new stand alone, or will it have ties into Holiday Sparks? Any news if Lauren Dane and Megan Hart will be back in this anthology with you and Jaci?

Mine’s a stand-alone. The Kowalski books are so intensely intertwined, it’s nice to have that short break from writing a series.
And I believe it’ll be two different authors with Jaci and I this year, so the details haven’t been announced yet.

Well, if you’re working on it over the summer the Toys for Tots theme at the campground might help to keep you inspired… and then there’s “Christmas in September.” Maybe you can bring your tree

Oh, I need to remember to grab a kicking-off-the-season toy for the collection! Can’t wait!

I’m just jealous your snow is gone. We still have some lurking in the shadowy areas. And had snow showers yesterday.
I love holiday stories. I read them all year long. Can’t wait!
