Snapshots from Quebec

My Tall Kid had a wonderful time in Quebec. It’s probably no surprise a young man who’s going to spend his summers doing French & Indian War reenacting would be awed by the history of the city, but I am surprised by how taken he was with the architecture. Waxing poetic, he is. I wouldn’t be surprised if he talked my mom (his cohort in period clothing) into taking a trip back with him at some point.

He took a lot of pictures and they came out surprisingly well since we had a last-minute oh crap, you need a camera moment. After a ten-second lesson in how to hold the button halfway down to focus before pressing it all the way, he was off. But here’s a very small sampling of his favorites.

The top photo looks like Fairmont Frontenac where I stayed with some friends last May. I loved Quebec. It was just like France EXCEPT for all the native American references. While there we happened upon a bride and her father stepping out of horse drawn carriages while wedding bells rang as they entered the large church. It was sunny and beautiful and would’ve inspired a romance story…I’m just sayin’, you may want to go with them! Check my FB for my photos. I’m sure they’re on there.
