VD & a bumper sticker

Happy Valentine’s Day! It’s not really a big deal to 75% of my family, but the Short Kid is a hopeless romantic and so we celebrate. We get cards and candy and a little gift or two for the boys. And I buy a card for my husband, though I usually hide it. Why? So that if he forgets, he won’t feel bad that I got him a card and he didn’t get me one. I have a little stockpile in a drawer of miscellaneous Valentine’s Day and anniversary cards he didn’t get, but it’s a very small pile.

And, when he remembers, he picks the most amazingly perfect cards that make me cry. He may not be the most romantic guy in the world, but when he goes for the sweet gesture, he does it right.

So, my husband may or may not be thinking of me today, but I know who he was thinking of yesterday. You guys!

He went out snowmobiling with a friend and, when he got home, he handed me a bumper sticker. I was a little confused because we don’t do bumper stickers. One: they lower the value of your vehicle. Two: too much commitment for me.

When I gave him a questioning look he said, “Thought the people who read your blog might think it’s funny”.

So…here it is!

Happy Valentine’s Day, and don’t forget—chocolate on clearance tomorrow!

    LOVE the bumper sticker!!

My hubs does Valentine’s up right. It’s the only holiday he does. This year we bought each other cards that basically said the same thing. It made me smile.

    Happy ‘Tines Day!

Not a big VD fan here. Books for the kids, my husband's favorite meal. I'm good.
