So here you are on my blog (Hello!), so how do you enter to win?
If you won the lottery and could buy yourself any gift this holiday, what would it be? I’d buy myself a brand-spankin’-new Mercedes Benz GL550 SUV! The starting base price on that sucker’s $84,450, but that’s okay because we’re thinking big and having a little fun here.
To be entered, tell me…What would you buy?
(If your comment goes to moderation, don’t worry—I’ll be checking it several times a day and I’ll check it a final time to make sure I didn’t miss any before the winners are chosen!)

Right now with the way life and the new job are going, the first thing I would do would be to QUIT!! Then grab my family and go somehwere very warm with a beach for a few weeks – maybe Hawaii, since I’ve never been there. And I would load my kindle up with tons of stuff to read on the beach and by the pool.
Oh, and I may just get laser-lipo before I go!! LOL
Comment
I would buy a house with a pool and a big fenced yard and a gourmet kitchen!!!!!
Comment
If I won the lottery I would buy a bigger home, a new car and
travel to Scotland and Ireland.
Comment
I’d buy plane tickets, yes, even though I’d have to go through security, to California, Minnesota and…can’t decide. But somewhere ELSE.
Can’t wait to read Holiday Sparks!

How nice of you to ask
If I won the lottery, I would look into buying two nice, new, reliable cars. Since I am in school, I have no need for a new house since I have no idea where I will end up, but I do need a new car to replace my ’98 Malibu that needs all sorts of fixing! Plus, my fiance and I share my vehicle to get to work and school and cart our two year old around and I think having two cars would be a dream come true. Plus, winter is coming up and I am always afraid that my trusty old Malibu might not be so trustworthy when it comes to carrying my daughter in 8 foot snow drifts- so I am always carrying tons of blankets and supplies

I’d do an addition on my house

A house with four bedrooms and at least two bathrooms with a living room and family room and a huge dining room. Enough room for a workshop for my husband and a garage to keep the vechiles snow free would be fabulous as well (since we are dreaming and all).

Hey Shannon!
If I won the lottery I’d continue going to school full time and quit my job ’cause it’s HELL doing both! Lol… And with the rest, I’d travel throughout Europe, starting with France.

A house in San Francisco, with a special reading room for me and my book club!

If I won the lottery, and I was feeling practical, I’d by a decked out Toyota Highlander.
A gift just for me would be a brand new DSLR and one on one lessons on how to use it to take the photos I want.

I would buy a house and TONS of new clothes
Comment
If I won the lottery I wouldn’t buy anything at first, but instead I would pay for my super expensive tuition!
Comment
Good question, well, for a sensible gift to myself I would get a new car and/or house (how big was the jack pot?). For the not so sensible, I would do a month long trip to England, Scotland, plus a few other European countries. Nice dream…
Comment
I have to say I’d start by paying off all my debt, student loans, cars, house, etc I would take my little angel to Disney World.
After that I would redo my backyard & put in a new deck, pool & hot tub and redo my kitchen with new cabinets and countertops.

Plane tickets– to take my whole family….just *somewhere*! We really, really need that
Comment
I’d ditch graduate school (since I’ve come to the realisation that I really don’t want to pursue academic science as a career) and do what I should have done/wanted to do after college: spend a year (or more) travelling the world with no specific plan in mind, and scuba diving my way through that round-the-world trip. Scuba diving is hell on my graduate student stipend, haha.
The rest I’d split between my savings/stock portfolio and a worthwhile charity

Wow what a great question!!! If I had to pick something I think it’d be hmmmmmm….. I think I’d buy a beautiful cabin somewhere up north from Illinois, so my hubby could go hunting whenever he wanted. My kids could go exploring with him through the woods and I could sit in front of a roaring fire, ALONE!!!!! Enjoying some wine and a good book!!
Comment
Hello,
Thanks for the contest. It’s fun to imagine winning the lottery -cool question. The first thing that came to mind was a beautiful, spacious house surrounded by woods to enjoy all the different seasons, but still within driving distance of a big city. I can picture in my head.
Comment
If I won the lottery I would add some much needed rooms onto our house. We have long ago agrown this one, but I love the location.

Ooo, if I won the lottery I would pay all my debts and put the rest in the bank!
Comment
I’d buy a tropical island complete with a house, landscaping, and a plane to take me out there. If I can’t afford that I’d settle for a private beach-front property.
That way my entire family can enjoy as well.
Comment
Not sure if my last post went through….But I would like a house, a new car or two, and a very long vacation. Oh and a Coach purse.
Comment
I have 22 books on my wish list right now, I would buy them all. I would then quit my job and spend the holiday season reading them.
That sounds really amazing to me, I almost want to go out and buy a lottery ticket.

You make me giggle! I love the way you think!
Humm… not sure what I would buy myself. I never stop to think of myself. I think of everyone else! But if I was buying me something… hummm… a home make over! What… you said big!
Please count me in!!!

P.S. I love the contest

If I won the lottery, I would by my brother and SIL a huge ranch where they could rescue all the cats and other furry critters they want. For myself, I would by a lifetime Bon Jovi fan club membership and a lifetime supply of front-row tickets to their concerts. (Did I mention I love Jon Bon Jovi?)
P.S. Hot spiced chocolate and some new, hot spicy reads? One of my favorite ways to pass the long cold winter nights. Good luck to all! Happy holidays!

I’d pay off my student loans & my house (boring, yes I know), get a state of the art home stereo system (with surround sound and wired through the ceiling), get a pool, and buy a Samsung Galaxy Tab!

I would buy a house. Ideally it would have 3 or 4 bedrooms, several bathrooms, a chef’s kitchen, a great room, a media/music room, an indoor pool (it gets cold in the San Francisco Bay Area), and a library for all my books!! A girl can dream, right?
Comment
I’d build a brick home with enough bedrooms for all my grandkids and a gigantic kitchen for the family holiday gatherings. The library would have bookcases on all the walls with a big comfy couch in front of the fireplace. Ahhh, heaven! Thanks for the contest!!
Comment
It’s a given that a portion of it would be given to Susan G. Komen in memory of my sister and to Hannah’s Hope (a foundation for a girl in my community). Then I would get some projects done around the house. First being finish our basement. The toys are taking over every room in my house and need to have their own playroom.
Comment
I would remodel my home and pay for college for both of my children, then take a cruise with my husband for at least two weeks, right after we pay off all of our bills since he has been out of work for over a year….and then we would make a large donation to the local foodbank who has helped out this small community. Lastly, I want to send my parents on trip to Norway to visit the family since they have helped my family out so much this year.
Comment
I would give a good part of it to my kids to help them fulfil their dreams.
I would also like to stop working and devote my time to my creative activities….sigh!!!!

If money was no object, I’d buy a vacation home in the mountains, big enough for lots of friends and family to come hang out. That’s my idea of paradise.
Can’t wait to read the anthology. Congrats!
Comment
I would buy the original painting “Book of Books” by Vladimir Kush.
Comment
Buy a new SUV to replace my van since the kids will both be out of the house in the next 1 1/2 years and I want something smaller.
Comment
If I won enough $$$, I’d buy Amazon and teach them how to run the place.
But if its just the standard million or two (shucks) I’d quit my job, remodel and redecorate my home, buy a time-share on a beach some place where I can relax with my hubby and Kindle.
BTW, I got an ARC copy of the anthology and thought your story was a stand-out favorite. LOVED IT. I seriously wished it was a full length book as I loved the lead characters so much.
