My poor DVR

We’ve only had two nights of “premiere week” and my DVR already hates me. If I turn on the TV & DVR to get an accurate list of what’s going on, I’ll end up watching TV instead of working, so off the top of my head…

House — Two words: Moonlighting Syndrome. And an additional six words: Please, Thirteen, stay gone this time.

Outlaw — Not impressed. I don’t think we’ll be watching it again.

The Event — While it didn’t blow me away, it asked a few questions that were interesting enough so I’ll stick around for a little while. Pretty damn easy to get guns on that plane, though.

How I Met Your Mother — I’m bored with this show and only watch it because my family does. As for the wedding, if Ted was the best man and Lily was decked out like a Matron of Honor, I’m guessing it’s Barney & Robin’s wedding. But I no longer care how Ted met anybody’s mother, and I hate Lily and Marshall.

Still on the DVR: Rules of Engagement, Two and a Half Men, and that new show…Mike and Molly, I think it’s called. I have no interest in that, but we taped it because it was part of the sitcom block.

NCIS — I don’t like when investigative shows launch ongoing storylines about the main characters. Please go back to what’s worked for years: a different investigation every week.

NCIS:LA — Same as above. Also, I don’t like this LA liaison thing. Sadly, the 10pm time slot was heavy last night and, because the first hour was so boring, we ditched the second hour in favor of Parenthood, which I’d planned to watch online later.

Detroit…something. 1-8-7? It’s on the DVR. I wasn’t intrigued at all by the previews, but the husband wants to watch it.

Parenthood — I have such mad love for this show, even if they did radically change Adam’s life between seasons one and two, thinking maybe we wouldn’t notice. I adore Crosby so much.

Still on the DVR: The Detroit show and those two new sitcoms. Raising Hope and Running Wilde. Don’t know much about them, but the DVR was free, so why not?

Criminal Minds tonight! And, for the DVRs devouring pleasure: Modern Family and Cougar Town. Oh, and Survivor. (Hate the young versus old, but still love Jeff.)

EDITED TO ADD: Ohmigosh, I forgot Castle! Of course we watched that. And I loved every second of it. And Hawaii 5-0 is on the DVR!

I can’t believe I forgot Castle (which we watched because we love it) and Hawaii 5-0, which is on the DVR. The two shows I was most excited for and I forgot to list them.

HIMYM was meh. He needs to meet the mother already. The show is repetitive and old. They need to do something to spice it up.

DVRd Castle. Haven’t watched yet. Did watch Hawaii 5-0. Eh. Didn’t suck, but wasn’t spectacular, either.

Glee! I love Glee. Mad love for Parenthood, too. We usually watch The Biggest Loser, but we’re over it now, and since we’ve been watching NCIS reruns over the summer, think we’ll switch to that instead on Tuesdays.

Caught the tail end of The Event. Looks sorta interesting, so we’ll rewatch on Saturday when it reruns and we can catch the whole thing.

Chase–didn’t watch it Monday–only so many shows we can DVR, but we’ll catch it Saturday night and see if we like it.

Criminal Minds tonight! Yes. Love it.

Survivor, of course. Agree– I hate the old vs young split, but it’s still early in the season, so we’ll see how it goes.

Greys is back this Thursday, and so is CSI (at least I think CSI is back tonight). Can’t wait for both.

The Big Bang Theory has moved to Thursdays, and of course we’ll still be watching since we love that show.

The Good Wife starts up again on Monday. Best show of last season and eager for its return.

Sons of Anarchy on Tuesday nights. Love that show.

I also watch Project Runway and America’s Next Top Model. My reality tv guilty pleasures.

Not sure what else as far as new shows this season we’ll be watching. Not much appeals other than what I already mentioned, and my dance card is already way full.

I don’t see Hawaii 5-0 on your list, which I loved, by the way.

I have Castle on my DVR and I’ll be adding Grey’s this week. I forgot about The Event and am wondering if I can catch that on the free On Demand. My husband ( I can say that now  ) has been watching a lot of shows on the History Channel and on Discovery. His new obsession, other than the Pawn Shop one and American Pickers is Swamp People. I, could care less, so I come out here and piddle around. But I agree with you on How I Met Your Mother. I have no interest in it anymore and I used to have mad love for it.

I love Parenthood, and we really liked 5-0. I didn’t love every minute of Castle, which made me sad.

But you hate Lily and Marshall? I love them!
