After working all weekend, I had declared I was taking the day off yesterday. Not only was my brain fried, but my house was trashed and I needed to devote some time to slaying dustbunnies.
It started out well enough. I scrubbed and dusted and swept and shopped. I made the mistake, however, of doing it all with my earbuds in, channeling my Devlin Group playlist straight into my brain.
Snippets of scenes churned in my head.
The twitching began.
I had to do it—I worked on DG4 on my day off. I also spent a lot of time dwelling on titles and…nothing. Pretty sure this one’s going to go off to my editor with DG4 across the top.
Of course today, which is not a day off, the muse wants to play hooky. But she had her chance and now it’s time to roll up my sleeves and get to work!
(Right after I check out any awesome new books releasing today!)
