Tuesdays are book buying days

Every Tuesday brings new book releases! I woke up this morning ridiculously excited to get my hands on Instant Temptation by Jill Shalvis, only to be crushed when I realized I’m a week early. To take the edge off my disappointment, I preordered it, which is something I rarely do with digital books.

FYI, the digital preorder price at B&N for the nook is $1.96 cheaper than the digital preorder price at Amazon for the Kindle. I think only once has that whole the ebooks are more expensive at B&N rumor been true for me.

Even though the title, the line and an element of the blurb wouldn’t normally compel me to add it to my cart, I bought Housekeeper’s Happy-Ever-After by Fiona Harper (Harlequin Romance, April) because Jane recommended it on Twitter. She has yet to lead me astray when it comes to contemporary romance recommendations. I also bought Julie Miller’s Takedown and Patricia Rosemoor’s Saving Grace, both Harlequin Intrigue April releases.

That’s it for today, so far. What new releases have caught your eye?

I just preordered Instant Temptation this morning, too! I also thought it was out today. Sigh.

I really only went to pick up the new Shalvis, But because I’m a book whore, I also ordered Mariah Stewart’s new one (her return to regular romance), Shoot to Thrill, and a couple of historicals including Sinful Surrender and Lessons from a Scarlet Lady.

Shattered by Karen Robards ~~ had it preordered for the Kindle. Did the happy dance when it was there when I turned it on this morning on!! YEAH, I love her suspense, hoping for some of her dry wit and snark in this one ~~ and her classic use of animals!!

I got Vivian Arend’s Wolf Games, Charlene Teglia’s Dangerous Lover, and Carolyn Crane’s Mind Games. Charli mentioned the special ops romance bk so I’ll be downloading it too. Has a story by Charli as well as Sydney Croft (Larissa & Stephanie).

Jill, congrats on the RITA nomination!!! SO incredibly well-deserved! (I’ve got my fingers crossed for you.)

Ooh, I need to grab Charli’s books, too. I know they released the Special Ops book early for Kindle. I need to see if it’s up for the nook yet.
