The wheels on the truck go round and round

But not always in a straight, well-balanced manner, so I was “volunteered” to take the pick-up in for a wheel balancing and front-end alignment. This didn’t exactly break my heart since VIP has a sign advertising free wi-fi and a guilt-free hour of sitting on my butt playing with my iPod Touch isn’t the worst thing ever.

Unless the wi-fi’s a no go, which means no catching up on Twitter and Google Reader, or posting a blog entry from the WordPress app.

Thankfully, I had the nook with me, as well, so I was able to read. And what did I read?

I finished up Leave Me Breathless by HelenKay Dimon, which was phenomenal!

And then I started an Intrigue, Killer Body, by Elle James. It’s pretty good so far, though I stumbled over the fact the hero’s petite little wife and unborn child died in childbirth because she was too small to bear his child. I kinda thought they did C-sections in those situations, but what do I know. Other than that little stumble, I’m enjoying it.

But now I have to put the nook away and play some catch-up!

Leave Me Breathless sounds SO awesome…and so different. Isn’t too often you read about a Judge as a hero ~~ I remember Karen Robards having one as a heroine, but usually they’re the corrupt bad guys, lol. I have the Sample read on my Kindle for when I’m ready to dive in ~ I’ve been on an In Death kick recently. I’d fallen behind on Eve and Roarke, and started listening to them on audio when I found out I could do that on my Kindle. I have a long commute, so it’s great ~~ and now I’m sunk back in their world, and playing catch up!! So for about the past week that’s all I’ve been reading!

Shannon – OMG, thank you!! I can’t tell you how thrilled I am that you enjoyed it. I actually let out a little squeal of happiness. Much happier than when I saw you were reading Leave Me Breathless after a reading Jill Shalvis’ Slow Heat. That made me weepy. Jill is AMAZING. Following her is a scary thing.

And thanks to Melissa I have to go find that Karen Robards book. Her book One Summer is one of my favorite reads.

Oh, Melissa, this is definitely one hot hunk of judge! And I’m jealous you still have Eve and Roarke. I’m caught up and read them the second they come out, so I have to wait and wait between Eve and Roarke fixes!

HelenKay, I had Julie James and then Jill Shalvis and then you. It was like an awesome contemporary romance hat trick! Loved all three. Dialogue does it for me in a big way and all three of you are exceptionally good “talkers”.
