Happy news!

The fabulous Angela James called me yesterday to offer me a contract from Carina Press! (I totally need to get my smilies fixed so my :boogie: guy will work again.) And Charlene Teglia got the same phone call! Wheeee!

To answer a couple of questions I’ve gotten by email or Twitter DM:

Just Joe is a single title-length contemporary romance. (I’d call it a romantic comedy, but I’m not sure if we’re supposed to use those words anymore. Like chick-lit, it’s a term rumored to not be in fashion. But it’s funny—the book, not the terminology.) There’s no blurb yet, but I’ll share when there is one.

Yes, there will be more Devlin Group books from Samhain Publishing. (Assuming, of course, my new editor likes them.) You didn’t think I’d leave Jack hanging, did you?

Fun, exciting news for my holiday season!

Yay for the contract with Carina Press. I was hoping some known to me authors would get signed and look…YAY!

Yay for romantic comedy, I don’t care that it’s rumored to not be in fashion. I love to read it, so I am in for JUST JOE!

And just for the fun of it: Yay Shannon, WTG!

Woot! I can’t wait to read Just Joe.

Um. I should maybe add to my post that I am not leaving Samhain either. Unless, you know, my editor R’s everything I send her.

What is this about romantic comedy being out of fashion? I always check that category when I go browsing (e)publisher websites. Love a laugh.

    Thank you so much, everybody!!!

I’m not sure why the romantic comedy tag is rumored to be out of fashion, but I look for them, too. I love funny romances!
