Weekend blog rec: The Graveyard Shift

One of my favorite new blogs is writer/law enforcement veteran Lee Lofland’s The Graveyard Shift. An excerpt from his “About” page:

Lee Lofland is a veteran police investigator who began his law-enforcement career working as an officer in Virginia’s prison system. He later became a sheriff’s deputy, a patrol officer, and finally, he achieved the highly-prized gold shield of detective. Along the way, he gained a breadth of experience that’s unusual to find in the career of a single officer.

It’s interesting, informative, and insightful, offering everything from thought-provoking posts, such as Taser Deaths: Coincidence, Contributor, or Cause? to his entertaining (but still informative) reviews/technical analysis of my favorite show, Castle.

If you’ve never visited The Graveyard Shift, grab a cup of coffee and settle in for a good read.
