Bullet points

* I’m still getting back on my feet from being sick.

* The Short Kid’s home sick.

* eHarlequin was having an editor pitch contest and mine was one of the five synopses chosen, so on the 18th, I’ll be pitching my Harlequin Intrigue to the Senior Editor, one on one, in a chat room.

* Thinking about that makes me feel very queasy.

* I still haven’t fixed all the wacky symbols that showed up on the blog after the upgrade (due to my having c&p’d from Word instead of a plain text editor). Working on that…eventually.

* I’m burning a Hollyberry Yankee Candle today, so it must be the holiday season.

* Umm…nap time.

    Thanks, Annmarie!

I figure it can’t be any scarier than pitching to an editor live and in person, which I survived once, but…I’m still anxious.

I can’t think of anything more exciting than one on one time with a Sr Editor to pitch your book. I’m so looking forward to the 18th when you can tell the editor about your book, Shan! I’ll be here cheering for you.

Hugs, Shan. I think I slept for about a week after the flu. Get your rest! And congrats. I’m sure your pitch will be great!

Deep breaths. You’re going to do fine  That is so exciting!

Do you use Firefox? Have you tried ScribeFire if you do? I don’t have all those odd little characters with that.

Good luck too with the sickies. I *think* we’re almost through all of that here.

    I think.

    Maybe.

Go Shannon!! You’re going to do great in your pitch session. Denise is cool and non-threatening. She’s going to love your stuff. ;-)

Thank you! Logically I know there’s little cause for anxiety, but I can’t help it. I was mentally reviewing questions she might ask instead of sleeping last night and trying to answer them. One more week of that and I might be incoherent come pitch time.

(I SO need to fix my smilies)

Where I’m having the most trouble with alien characters isn’t really in the drafting of posts, which I usually do right in wp, but in excerpts and other things copied from a Word manuscript or blurb info sheet and the like. I need to learn to copy it into something else first, I guess.
