I cleared the domestic decks in order to hit the proposal I’m working on hard, so I’ll be type-type-typing away today. (Especially since I lost fifteen minutes last night tearing my hair out and swearing as I tried to remove a rogue period from my document. Even with the formatting display turned on I couldn’t figure it out until I exhaled a very frustrated breath and the speck of something or other blew off my screen.)
But before I dive into work, I thought I’d share the very unofficial blurb I sent in for No Surrender. (Keeping in mind it will probably be tweaked and tinkered with.)
EDIT: And yes, a mere hour or so after posting, the first change was made.
Don’t hold back. Never give up. If only it was that easy…
Book 3 of the Devlin Group series.
When sabotage downs their helicopter in the mountains, Gallagher finally gets the up-close and personal time he’s been craving with fellow agent Carmen Olivera. After their rescue, however, the saboteur’s trail sends the Devlin Group to Africa, where Carmen tries to revert back to her cold professional self. Gallagher isn’t ready to let her go. Not by a long shot.
As the Group gears up to rescue a young woman being held hostage in the well-guarded compound of a guerilla warlord, Carmen tries to shove her long-time attraction for Gallagher—now jacked up by one mind-blowing night—back into its mental corner because she can’t see a future with him. They’re from different worlds and a failed relationship could affect the job. But as the plan gets blown to hell and they’re running for their lives in the jungle, there’s no room for uncertainty or they may have no future at all.

The rumor is August, but I don’t have a definite date yet. I’ll add it to the sidebar when I know.
I think I’m more anxious with this book than the last few. Maybe because it almost killed me.
