Is it June 18th yet?

I love vacations and long weekends, and I’m dying for the end of school. That probably sounds weird, but I’m actually more productive when my kids are home.

For anybody interested, pictures of the Short Kid’s first solo ATV ride are up on the family blog. (I mean solo as in driving his own machine, not out alone in the woods.) I love the one of him alone on the rock.

Sadly (or not), I only wrote about 1000 words all weekend, that was rewriting an opening. Now it’s time to catch up on email and household stuff. And laundry, of course.

Our last day would have been the 12th if not for the snow days. And this year we’re not starting until Sept 1st because of Labor Day falling late, so we’re already scheduled to June 18th of 2010, which means we’ll be butting up against the end of the month if we have a stormy winter.

    :gaah:

Poor TK/SK have to go to school that late in the year? :( Well, I guess it beats going back in early August. I think Goose’s school starts August 14th or so. Yuck!!!!
