Flowers and the SK spin

Hope everybody enjoyed the weekend. Ours was pretty low-key and my guys got me some lovely flowers for Mother’s Day—two hostas, a dwarf Coreopsis and two flats of pink Wave petunias. (Of course, now I have to find the time to plant them. Gardening isn’t enjoyable for me. It’s work. And I find cleaning the bathroom more enjoyable than tending the garden, but I don’t tell them that. Except for my peony. I love my peony.)

And the Short Kid brought a Mother’s Day gift home from school, of course. His face in silhouette, with a Mother’s Day message on the back.

Mom, I love you to pluto and back. You are as nice as a 20 ton bowl of ice cream. Yoar the best mom!

He’s so sweet and original (though I’m guessing I might need to de-LOL cat his spelling.)

Knowing my guys, I’m surprised he didn’t use Uranus for the cheap laugh. They may have “officially” changed the pronunciation before he was born, though. Don’t remember.

I spent hours yesterday weeding, planting, watering, mulching. Got a little too much sun and my shoulders are killing me. I told him next year to get me a card and an iced coffee.
