Twitter's killing my blog

Twitter seems to be killing my blog as my brain is rewiring itself to communicate in 140 characters or less. Talking the husband into unlimited text package for my phone hasn’t helped. (I also talked him into upgrading phones, so Fedex will be bringing me a shiny new Motorola MOTO on Monday. Purple! With the IRS documentation sitting on the desk waiting for the check to be signed, the words “it’s a write-off” are currently magic.)

Anyway, back to the blog, I’ll do a miscellaneous catch-up post, Twitter-style:

In reading slump. Four awesome books in a row (2 by Julie James, Afraid, Heart-Shaped Box) have spoiled me.

Amazing Race: So glad the mom didn’t collapse ‘til mat. I was afraid they were going to be out of it.

Harper Island: Wasn’t as cheesy as I feared, though way heavy on the cliches. No doubt the beautiful blondes will all die badly while less-stunning brunette will be brave and live.

American Idol: I have no idea who went home. Huh. Hoping it was Scott.

Kings: So far I’ve collected all the episodes on DVR because I like the actor (Swearengen to us Deadwood fans). Is it any good? Probably be cancelled before I start watching.

Survivor: Is it just me, or are they exceptionally boring people this year? I like Brendan. Can’t help it. And, wow, were the producers mocking Coach hard this week or what? I hate that man.

Criminal Minds: Very concerned about them losing 5 writers. That show is awesome and they need to Leave. It. Alone.

Writing: Shifted back to Super Secret Project. Need to remind self rather emphatically that neither shooting people nor blowing them up are acceptable in this book. Nor is anybody calling anybody else a :censor:

The Tall Kid is trying to drown me in research for DG4. I keep reminding him that we don’t even know if my editor likes DG3 yet, but he wants me to be prepared.

Tall Kid also asks me every five minutes if I have any plot holes he can help fill. Seriously, he needs to write his own book.

Umm…that’s about it. Back to work. And Twittering.

I’m with tall kid. Get busy with DG4 already! Also, your Sekrit Projekt doesn’t sound very you. No shooting? No explosions? No bad wordz? Hmm.

Give short kid a computer or a notebook. If he starts now, he’ll have all the bad writing out of his system by Jr. High and get published before he graduates!

Twitter is evil. I will NOT give in.

Goose says HI. Spring break. I made her come to work with me and file. Bwahahaha now THAT is evil.

Cool that TK takes an interest. Like Charlene said, get him a notebook and see if he gets inspired. (Ohnoes! If Ezmerelda is your muse, what’s his going to look like?)
