Shannon Stacey

Hey, it's my blog's birthday!

On January 1st, 2005, my first blog post went up, so we’re four years old today!

Dayum, time flies. The Tall Kid was nine, the Short Kid was four, and I was unpublished (for thirty more days). I think it would be kind of cool for me to sit and read the entire four years worth of posts in order, but I suppose that’s time better spend writing.

Like many writers, I suspect, I’m a bit of an introvert in person (I don’t care for the phrase IRL, because y’all ARE a part of my RL), and the relationship I have with all of you—sharing bits of my life with you and you sharing bits of your life with me—is sincerely very special to me.

Thank you for hanging out with me.

I’ve never wished a blog a happy birthday before, but I guess there is a first for everything! So here goes, “Happy Birthday Blog!”

    Thank you, dahlings! :diva:

It has my full attention now, until it’s done (which shouldn’t be long). I know it’s been a bit of a wait, but—to be frank—there was stuff going on and there are parts of On the Edge that got shortchanged. I want Gallagher’s book to knock socks off and hopefully it’ll be worth the wait.

    HB!

I was gonna say this on the last post, but it seems more appropriate here:

I came looking for your site when we met years ago at eHarl. and I learned you were a Patriots fan, and my life has been enriched for it. I am always touched and amused when I read your posts, and a very high number of them get related to friends and family.

I feel blessed to have access to the Internet so I can “know” you.

Here’s to four more years! (I’d say more than that, but by then, we’ll be moving from blogs to other things, no doubt…)

:cheer: Happy Blog Birthday and Happy New Year! It took me a while to enter blogdom, even a little kicking and screaming, but I love it now and I love your blog :)

Natalie, one of these days we’ll meet up somewhere in person. We’ve gotta stick together, especially considering how anti-Patriots so many people are.
