Because I find the world of publishing to be especially depressing at the moment, I’ll skip over all things writing today and go for the random.
Mini is healing up very well. She’s about 80% normal Mini at this point, and rebounding fast. Since I’ve been allowed to pee alone today, I take that as a sign she’s feeling much better.
The office remodel is moving along, as well. My husband is right now, as I type, painting the walls lavender. Yes. Lavender. I sent him to get Vanilla Latte, which was the color chip I’d chosen. And while I long ago admitted I have no aesthetic sense (probably due to my military housing upbringing) and have been thrilled with the wacky color choices to date—pale, pale plum for our room, an icy pale mint for the halls, a new light mauve bathroom upstairs with a new dark peach bathroom downstairs—I am very uncertain about my office being lavender.
The Shield: Here’s what I wanted: Vic dying to save Jackson. The hurt and betrayal between Vic and Shane was so insane because of the love between them. Vic giving his life for Jackson was the redemption and ending I was looking for. What I got—seriously lame, although I liked the Shane/Mara ending.
That’s about all I’ve got.
