The #18 rocks the short kid's day

Some of you know my short kid is one of those rare and annoying creatures—a hardcore Kyle Busch fan.

This is race weekend and we’re the primary highway exit for NHMS, so there’s a certain part of town I wanted to avoid. Unfortunately, Walmart is in that part of town and I really, really needed batteries. (For my cordless mouse. I know what you were thinking.) After much internal drama, I decided to brave the traffic.

Guess who was hosting the Kyle Busch racing simulator? So the short kid not only got to see the #18 car, but he got to “drive” it. He actually giggled, he was so excited. (I apologize for the quality, but I didn’t know the car would be there, so they’re cellphone shots.)

    Oh how cool!

The #88 was at the auto parts store here in our town last night. Sadly, Junior wasn’t with it. But some nice looking National Guardsman were with it. We had our picture taken standing next to it. *grin*

Considering the short kid’s a Kyle Busch fan and I’m a Juan Pablo fan, y’all can imagine the mother/son trashtalking yesterday. :noevil:

Suwheeet, Shan. I love it when the cars come to town. It was probably the highlight of his summer so far. :)

Aren’t you glad you went now? And you did get EXTRA batteries, right?
