Epilogueus Interruptus

I had to take the husband’s truck in to have the front-end aligned this morning. (The frost heaves were truly majestic this year).

Him: It won’t take long.

Me, an hour and half into the wait: *nasally sounds of derision*

So I pulled out the Palm and flipped through my library. The Executive’s Surprise Baby by Catherine Mann. Yay! A Silhouette Desire was the perfect way to drown out a rather boisterous political discussion raging around me, full of points I rather strongly disagreed with. Rather than alienate the people tending to rather critical safety components of my vehicle, I immersed myself in the world of one of my favorite types of hero—the alpha male brought to his knees by a pregnant heroine. So much tenderness (she sighs with a goofy grin on her face).

Anyway, I was just starting the epilogue (wedding!!!)—that ooey-gooey best part that totally gives me the warm and fuzzies—when they told me my truck was done.

The agony!

Now I’ve had my warm and fuzzy fix, but must catch up after losing part of my morning. Sent a submission in yesterday, working on another proposal today. Plus, my WordPress dashboard tells me I’ve been tagged, so I must think of six random things about myself I haven’t already spilled. (The longer you blog, the harder they get.)

To Do List: Finish proposal. Pre-groom Mini for her appointment with the groomer tomorrow morning. Find the magazine article torn out to use for DG3. Try to get the kitchen floor mopped before Mini tears the sponge to pieces. Think of six even remotely interesting about myself.

NOT To Do List: Watch DVR’d Hell’s Kitchen. Play with short kid’s Indiana Jones Lego set. (Dudes, I have Indiana Jones, Will Turner, Cap’n Jack Sparrow AND Anakin Skywalker Lego figures on my coffee table. How can I NOT play with them? Run down to the store for Ring Dings.

I love the warm and fuzzy books! LOVE to see the strong man brought to his knees by love. LOVE the HEA.

I am supposed to be packing. I don’t wanna pack another item. I am too old for this moving thing. If I had legos…I’d be playing with them!

I played with them a little. I couldn’t help it.

And thanks, Charli! I’m chewing my nails now.
