Things that happened between falling asleep last night…

…and waking up this morning:

1. One of the worst colds I’ve had in recent memory took up residence.

2. One of the cats threw up all over the pages I was editing after I fell asleep with them scattered on the coffee table, no doubt due to the onset of #1. Or maybe it was both cats in a coordinated attack, because it was a total mess.

3. Rain fell and encased everything in a sheet of ice, causing a two-hour delay this morning. I swear, between the girnormous mounds of snow piled up wherever we can find space to pile it and the skating rinks that used to be our driveways I could host a Winter Olympics right now. Seriously.

4. Apparently an evil, soul-less elf broke into my house and stole all of my Sudafed AND my NyQuil. Too bad he didn’t take the cats.

I came down with that cold on Wed., I think. Maybe the cats can go out to get your more Nyquil.

Sorry you aren’t feeling well and that sucks about the NyQuil. When I have a cold that’s a much needed item. Try Airborne, that also works to get rid of the cold (while the NyQuil just numbs you and helps you sleep). Cats – you gotta love ’em. Or not. Mine always seems to hack up a hairball on the carpet just inches from the hardwood where it would be much easier to clean and wouldn’t leave a stain. :wtf:

    Get better soon!

It is truly amazing what can happen in the middle of the night. At least you didn’t wake to puking children (my personal demon) and if you’d like I can host the luge event at my house here in Vermont! :sled:
