It was a dark and stormy night…

Okay, not really stormy. Just wicked windy.

The husband went out to see a friend.

It’s 10:21 pm and I’ve been watching “Ghost Hunters” since 8:00.

Alone.

They’re doing the Copper Queen Hotel investigation right now.

I can’t move. Can’t go pee. Certainly can’t go into the basement and get my laundry.

If my cat sneezes I might have a heart attack.

Seriously. Why do I do this to myself?

Pokes her head out of lurkdom to say:

I’m right there with you–every Wednesday night. Except I have a dog who suddenly starts barking for no apparent reason at unseen objects every freaking time the show comes on. I stay paranoid for DAYS. LOL

I usually do okay, with a few exceptions:

The prostitute pulling the covers off Grant’s feet in the Copper Queen Hotel.

The Jawa-looking, darting shadow in the cellar of some…bar?

The thermo-image of the psychic reading which showed the reader drawing in the readee’s energy.

    AND…

The EVP’s always freak me out. I can handle almost all the image stuff, but the voices…

    HOLY CRAP!

Now it’s 9:44 am, I’m alone and have goosebumps that would make K2 proud.

I can’t watch The Shining by myself. Doesn’t matter that I’ve seen it five times, I still can’t watch it alone, even with all the lights on. :baby:

I don’t even know what an EVP is, but I’m with you on scary shows (or even books) and not moving to go pee. :hide:

EVP is…electronic voice phenomena? I think that’s it.

They have audio equipment that records and sometimes when they play it back you can hear a voice responding to the investigators’ questions. Or a woman humming. Or a man muttering. Or, after Jason was lying in the bed of a little girl with an “imaginary friend”, said imaginary friend saying into the microphone “Who’s Jason?”.

    Freaky stuff. :hide:
