Looking for funny YA recs

I just got back from the library and apparently next week is Laugh Out Loud for teens week (or something like that.) Our YA librarian is looking for funny YA books!

Since it starts Monday, a book that isn’t released yet won’t do us much good. But she can display any the library has and make a “recommended list” of those they don’t.

So IM and email all your YA-loving friends and give me some recommendations for laugh out loud funny YA (fiction or non).

My 15 year old son recommends “Son of the Mob” by Gordan Korman.

Can I email you a list tomorrow? I can’t think of any at the moment (except for Eight Grade Bites by Heather Brewer).

    That would be awesome, Ann!

    :waves to Patti:

I wrote both of those titles down, and will be awaiting Goose’s suggestions, too.

(I might even read some of them myself.)

Meg Cabot’s AVALON HIGH, although the humor is more sophisticated. But it was so funny I kept reading parts of it to my husband.

Which either means we’re incredibly hip or pathetically immature. :boogie:

Passing that on. And I’ll vote for hip.
