I foresee a trip to the office in my future

My 7th grader is now learning about fairy tales in literature.

Wait for it…

They’re watching “Hoodwinked”.

Yes, you read that correctly. Apparently in our curriculum, all you have to do to study fairy tales in literature is watch an animated, badly strung-together string of crude, fairy tale-derived jokes.

At least if they watched “Shrek” they could not only study fairy tales, but get a solid knowledge of the Hero’s Journey with awesome character and plot arcs.

I think a letter is in order.

This is still irritating me. What happened to reading, then testing? :rulez:

I probably would have pulled a 4.0 if all we had to do was watch cartoons.
