In a recent post, I expressed my inability to walk away from the new release—Catch of the Day—by Kristan Higgins because I loved her first book—Fools Rush In—like a fat kid loves cake (TM KarenS, of course.) As did Jaci.
I was pleased to have spread the love a little, as evidenced from a couple of comments on that post:
Am now 10 chapters into Fools Rush In. I can’t believe I’ve had this languishing on the bookshelf for months. I love Sam.
Alison Kent Says:
Damn you. I’ve done NOTHING today but read COTD and sobbed my eyes out. OMG, this is so good, I’m off to order the first one!
Yesterday, another comment was posted (bold emphasis mine):
Catch of the Day was the best romantic comedy I’ve read in ages (and I liked Fools Rush In a lot too). Why oh why isn’t this woman more popular? Thanks for bringing her to more people’s attention. I’m planning on hand selling it to as many people as I can over the next few weeks.
That’s been my question all along. Why isn’t this author registering on the radar? I don’t see her name—on blogs, message boards, reviews—in Romanceland. And her books are brilliant!
So as an already devoted fan of Ms. Higgins, thank you to Jen! More buzz=more sales which=more KH books for me to read!
Seriously, people, her books are wicked pissah. We don’t have stronger words of praise in the New England vocabulary.
Speaking of New England, things aren’t looking good for my Red Sox. But if I didn’t give up on them after Game 3 of the ’04 ALCS against the :censor: Yankees, I’m not going to give up on them now. And the tall kid was almost late to school because I haven’t gotten in the habit of leaving time for scraping frost yet.
Sweating with Sven didn’t go so well yesterday. Dammit.
