Wicked catchup tonight and tomorrow (and that doesn’t even count all the comments to read at DA, SB and Karen’s. Geesh.) Just so you didn’t come here for nothing, here a few quirky moose pics from this past weekend.
In one of the White Mountain towns we drive through on our way north is a wooden moose my family is particularly fond of. We call it the Reggae Moose:
Well, this time we happened to notice the police department of this same town has a funny-as-hell new moose:
I didn’t mention it last week, but my husband stayed up north and rode for a few days without us. (If you’re a nutjob or prone to B&Es, he’s home now. Sorry.) And he played a little follow the leader with a moose (at the bottom of the photo is the front rack of my husband’s King Quad and at the top is the moose):
Until the moose decided he’d had enough, stopped, and gave him the evil eye. That was the end of their trail sharing.
I’m a little peeved he didn’t get a picture of the bear, but he was stopped on a steep hill with a bear at the top, so trying to get his camera could have 1) made him let off the brake and come tumbling back down the hill or 2) made him take his eyes off the bear and get mauled…while his machine tumbled down the hill. I told him he should keep his camera more accessible.
