Well, two of them, at least. I’m going to save Michelle’s question on series for tomorrow. Don’t wanna use up all my topics in one day. Anyway, on to the questions!
SandyO asks:
Where’s Esmie? I don’t think we’re heard from her in a few weeks. It’s ok if she’s on a book tour for her western. Or if Immigration paid her a visit. Or if you have her locked in the cellar. It’s OK, Shannon, we’re here for you.
Shan: Ezmerelda’s just fine. I’ve been keeping her very busy, but she’ll make an appearance Friday.
Ezmerelda: mmmphhh mmph mmmmmphhhhhhhh
Shan: *readjusts duct tape*. She’s fine. Honest.
And Charli asks:
Personally, I’d like to know more about the Shannon Stacey plan for world domination! What lines are you targeting (I know you said you love category and want to write it), what single title ideas do you have kicking around, are you going to write a book your sister can read…Inquiring minds want to know!
The Shannon Stacey plan for world domination keeps getting derailed by the fact I only have one minion, and he’s six and a half.
Oh, you mean writing-wise?
What lines are you targeting (I know you said you love category and want to write it)
I’ve been playing the SSE/HAR/SSE/HAR/SSE/HAR merry-go-round in my head. Then I think about Blaze. Then I think, I wonder if that one idea I had will work for Nocturne. Then I wonder if Nocturne’s doing okay. Then I remember I want to write contemporary romance for them and I’m back on the SSE/HAR/SSE/HAR-go-round. Then I worry about whether my voice is there or if it’s flat. Basically I’m in chickenshit procastination mode and haven’t worked up the courage yet. :hide:
what single title ideas do you have kicking around,
Well, I have a single title contemporary romantic comedy I’m shopping around, although I’m not supposed to use the words “romantic comedy” with most publishers. It’s sitting in a NY slush pile right now, not that I’m dwelling on it. Not at all. Really. It’s only been in the pile for five weeks and four days. I’m also tweaking an entry for the Brava Novella contest. I haven’t worked up the courage to submit to Kate Duffy yet, so the contest makes me feel like I’m working toward my goal of someday working with her. Yes, I’m my own best enabler. I’ve also got a paranormal I decided quite a while back no longer fit with where I wanted to go, and yet it won’t get out of my head. That’s why Nocturne keeps poking it’s nose into my category musings. No no no!
Then there’s Becoming Miss Becky to finish. And DG3.
Hi, my name is Shannon Stacey, and I’m unfocused. Is there a 12-step program for that?
Hey, if there’s a 13-step program for that, I could do TT tomorrow. :lmao:

Please finish Becoming Miss Becky. Please. I want to read Adam and Becky’s story, and to do that you must finish it first.
So :whip: and get :type:

Clearly you need to write for at least 3 category lines.

Never mind Miss Becky. I want DG. DG3! DG3! :whip:
Oooh, the Brava novella contest. I was going to do that. I got sidetracked by vampires. :vampire:
Comment
Please ignore Charlene and Michelle and finish Becoming Miss Becky.
(Note to my Sister: I shall never forgive you for saying that about Miss Becky.)

My vote as I said clearly in #13 of my Thursday 13 is: In the revamp, Gabe was a teacher, but since Grace came first, his profession needed to be changed. It was Shannon Stacey who told me I needed to write about a football player or she would. I still think she needs to write about a football player and I think y’all need to jump over to her blog and tell her so. :neener:

Shannon, don’t listen to this people! Adam and Becky first!

:cowboy: Workin’ on it, ma’am. Almost done, as a matter of fact.
I also think I’ve dug my way out of the three major plot holes in the opening of DG3, so it’ll move right along as soon as BMB’s punted. One hopes.
