Adventures in Boston

So we headed down to the New England Aquarium. We went last summer and the kids absolutely loved it. I love it less. Not that I don’t think the Aquarium rocks, but me and cities—not so much with the love. But we had a great time.

Pics after the jump!

Running from the ground floor up in the center is a giant salt water tank. You can see the ramp walkway wrapping around it in the background. The tank alone is worth dealing with Boston drivers.

Looking into the tank:

The short kid did the “Jaws” music every time one of the three sharks came around:

Looking down into the top of the tank. No, there’s no screen, but they say nobody’s ever fallen in:

Dude, mustard up your nose?:

OMG, we got to see an R2D2 mailbox! Faces obliterated as those aren’t my kids. We were in the process of hunting for the 93N onramp and couldn’t stop to pose:

A beautiful—and tiny—historic church among the giants (edited to add: It might not be a church, and it looks at least 3 stories, so tiny’s relative *g*):

Go Red Sox!:
